Sending signals since ‘69.
In 1969, Headspace Investment Advisor (left) Jai Bhagat emigrated to the US from India, and began designing telecom networks for the state of Pennsylvania. Soon, his professional journey would summon him down to Jackson Mississippi, where, along with fellow telecom innovator John Palmer, they’d build Skytel, the largest and most valuable paging brand in the 1980’s.
Spearheaded the broadband revolution in ‘99.
In 1999, Headspace’s Jai and Vinay Bhagat founded AIR2LAN, a wireless broadband Internet company responsible for bringing high-speed Internet access to much of the southeastern United States. While Jai designed the technology, Vinay wrote AIR2LAN’s biz plan, that would raise over 13M in institutional investment.

In addition to working with local San Diego companies such as Axxestel, Headspace founder Jai Bhagat has been sharing everything he knows about the telecom industry with a new generation of entrepreneurs by serving as an advisor for the UCSD Springboard program.
